Happy New Year!
Please post IPL Power Plant in Petersburg IN comments here.
2020 There are plans to dismantle the coal powered plant. Nest uncertain.

Female – Unbanded. 2019. ~ Previous: b/g, purple band. Never got a good look at it.
Male -Mack, *V/*X [we think]
John Castrale's report from 2012:
"2012- A plant worker checked a nest box (installed in fall 2004) on 3/24 and flushed an adult off three eggs. On 4/2, three eggs were unattended with an adult male perched on a nearby smokestack. Still 3 eggs on 4/9 with both adults observed away from box. Three cold eggs collected from nest on 4/24; no adults observed. Distant camera revealed multiple daily visits by the adults to the nest box through mid-May. Jim Verley monitored and provided access to this site."
No Known activity in 2013.

Petersburg IN is in southwestern Indiana on the White River. Located north and between Evansville, IN and Louisville, KY. Here are 2 pictures of the area.

Have been watching the female for awhile who is now in the nestbox taking shelter from all this rain moving through the area. She started on the ledge, then went in to work on the scrape a couple times, but has just been standing for several minutes now! It's good to start seeing the peregrines again! She just took off from the ledge and flew at 5:33!

Someone there now, but legs hidden. All fluffed out, it's a little chilly in this area. Then to the nest and I see bands! And gone!! Appeared to have a rose-colored tape on right band in this lighting ... faded red tape?

A while back I thought it would be less confusing to have the Indiana archives filed in the Indiana forum. I will rethink that and probably move the topics I am responsible for to the main archives. In the meantime you can find Indiana archives at this link. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks gigi! I was searching for info or a screen capture to see if his right band looks rose-colored (lighting ?) and was able to go back to 2019 and find a screen capture on 2/1 at 3:23 that shows it does at least sometimes. So this was Mack I assume that I saw earlier!
