Peace left a little less than an hour ago and Maltese is on for the night now!

Peace came on duty about 50 minutes ago.

Peace is on egg duty after his 2nd attempt to do so. Maltese was just not quite ready to get up the 1st time he offered! :teehee:

Peace has been on duty for a little over 2 hours now. Got to see the 4 eggs and Maltese. All is well!

Maltese is on duty now, however going back over the last 4 hours on the DVR, Peace came in early this morning and was on the eggs most of this time. Will continue to check on this nest through out the day, but not always posting.

Can only see the eggs right now, but they look good!!

The time has come. They have been listening for a day or two now. Within the last 30 minutes, it became so overwhelming for Peace, he had to get completely off the eggs, so he could stand there and look and listen to them for awhile! :spring1:

Maltese is on the eggs right now, and there must be a lot of activity going on under her. She is spending a lot of time looking under her,without getting up... I’ll bet you’re right, SWINWK- a hatch- or two is coming!

Approx 35 or so minutes ago at the nest exchange, right after Peace leaves and just before Maltese gets on the eggs, the egg on the far left moves of it's own force!! Definitely, Tsusan!! Can't wait!!

OK, so on average, how long does it take a chick to chisel his egg open?

It can take up to twenty-four to forty-eight hours. But, thankfully most don't take the 48 it seems to me, once you see the pip. I haven't been able to see a pip from the views I've had of the eggs, but it could be there from a different view. I think it's working on it. They are very reactive to the eggs. Did you get a chance and go back on the DVR and catch the egg moving? It almost jumped ... Hahahahaha!! I think this is about day 33 since the 3rd egg was laid. So it is time!

Maltese is doing a slow spin on her eggs... I wonder how many hatches by daybreak....

Every time she gets up or raises up I think I'm going to see something ... it's hard to leave her ...

Still reacting! Peace brought her a gift (that has been stored for a very long time) a little over 2 hours ago for the nest exchange. And the eggs are still driving them crazy at times ...

Well, shucks, no hatches yet... Just had an egg duty switch, a “maybe” pip...

Turned the cam back a little bit, and found Peace bringing a food gift to Maltese, and of course the eggs were turned just so so that no pip was visible..........
