Very late third egg. Maybe they have to deal with intruder(s)?
And was it laid late last night perhaps? Such a shame that nothing is done about the focus, could help to see what is going on at night :girlsad3:

Like her mom, she may have stopped at three for whatever reasons. I hope she does not lay any more. Late hatches are never nice to watch.

Alan, can we get a zoom on the eggs? I am curious about the last egg laid. It looks bigger than the others, but it maybe just the way they appear together from a distance.

Has anybody else noticed that 3 eggs is pretty common this season? 4 is normally the most common, but this year at this early stage there are several nests with 3 eggs. :girlcrazy:

I have been rolling that around in my mind for days. Then I go back to Diana @ Kentucky, and Red Girl @ Wilmington...the earliest east coast cam layer's, and they laid full clutches.
It has me thinking still, why would they have full clutch and others have 3/4 clutch?

Yes, I noticed that too - kind of odd because usually I can barely get a view of the eggs because they cover them so faithfully. It's been 28 minutes now. Temp is 45 but feels like 39 with wind chill.....

:egg8: I'm watching mom? On the eggs... The cam is a little frustrating as it doesn't actually refresh until it has gone through 3 cycles. However, mom has her wings out loosely, reminding me of a parent who maybe hearing their little ones.....
