Well these three are hanging in there.

Has something happened to the male keeping her busy hunting to feed the chicks?

I don't know, but I remember that last year already, Lady was not enough helped by Flash and she often had to leave the chicks to find food :/

He must be in the corner because Lady had something to feed the chicks (some) while she stayed with them until then.

I watch since this morning and Lady seem to handle everything alone!
Who knows how long have it's like that, and if the death of the fourth chick is not the consequence of this situation?

Their previous meal was the one of my post, at 6:30 am :-|

You have seen Flash more recently than I PeSS.

I remember in South Bend for the two years we watched on footed Zephyr, one chick died each year after seeming to not be fed. The falcons must know what they need to do to have the the most healthy, fit and ready to take on the world chicks survive.

It is rather chilly here today and Lady has them all under her nice warm brood patch keeping them cozy! :girlluv:

What I see for two days makes me think that Lady takes care of his chicks, all alone, by herself.
No sign of Flash.

I just saw Lady hurriedly leave the nest and come back immediately with some food .... :!:

Is it possible that Lady does not allow Flash to approach the nest and chicks? :shock:

That's entirely possible, PeSS. I remember last year at James River, Elizabeth wouldn't allow JJ to do anything once the kids hatched.
