Yesterday I saw the last chick (the most irritated) sleeping on his back. I didn't make screenshots, it reminded me too much last year. :girlsad3:

These babies receive so much love (and food!) ... so, I remain hopeful that they both will well overcome their skin problem.

Beth, I was watching too when that refresh came up with the chick adorned with bird feathers. :egg7:

ljames, I think the dark spots have not gotten any worse, so I feel very optimistic about these two. Thank you for documenting the feeding. :egg 19:

I looked at last year's info and both chicks hatched on 4/28 and almost immediately we noticed the black areas on them. On 5/2 one chick died so these 2 have passed that critical time. I believe all will be okay. Time will tell.

I asked Laura about the perch camera being repositioned, and she had asked for that 2 weeks ago to better see hatching. Well, what can I say... :egg16:
