Peregrines hatch in South Bend, but survival is questionable

Ever the optimist and knowing what a team Guinevere and Zephyr are, I think the chicks have a good survival rate. We will just have to wait and see and know that Guinevere and Zephyr will do what ever it takes to insure survival of their chicks.

You would think they'd focus on how amazing nature is that a tiercel that lost one leg has not only adpated but succeeded in nesting and raising offspring. Quite frankly, he's one for science books as not many birds can or have accomplished that feat.

Not many humans could adapt as he has, not without alot of therapy and drugs that's for sure. Yet he lives his life to the fullest, they're more evolved than we are I think as I certainly would find something like that hard to live with. I'm in awe of him to be honest.
I agree whole heartedly with you carly. Animals do have a wonderful way of adapting when life is not so kind to them. The article wasn't as negative as I thought it was going to be.
A different title would have been nice - but maybe not so sensational. I guess that is what counts... :gaaaaah:

Prior to G coming back to the box, you could see somebody's tail hanging over the top of the box.

Not sure where the box is located, Carly. Let's hope that explains in in and out of the box and the absence of Zephyr. . he's usually right there where G leaves. . of course, cam was down yesterday (or was is Sunday) and I haven't checked on these guys since Saturday ..

well, we've had several nests to worry about .. of course, since they have zoomed in the cam, we cant see much of the perch. . Z sometimes sits there. . of course, with his leg issue, I'm always gonna worry something has happened to him.
