Hi folks, I tried to get on the cam a couple times, and it would not open... ?

It won't open for me either...I wonder if they have turned it off for the season...I'll have to check the website to see if they posted anything..

Ground report: Genuine Falcon Sighting !! :sum9:

ON Tuesday August 27 at 8:30 p.m. , I spotted a bird on the NE corner of the County City Building. I think it was Guinevere, due to the size. She was framed very beautifully by the blue sky with tints of pink. Another falcon wheeled around and disappeared. You were right Gigi, the two of them did surprise me. :girlyes:

Guinevere sat for a few minutes, looked around and then looked down. She seemed to be looking at me, which is possible because there were no other people or living creatures in the vicinity at the time. ( Except for a couple of trees. ) I was hoping that Guinevere would find me too big for a late supper. Good thing I didn't lose all my weight yet ! Guinevere continued to sit and look around, then a bit of preening, just a little bit, and then she spread her wings, wheeled slowly downward and then upward, and then flew off slowly to the north, the early stages of the setting sun in the background.

Gigi, I remember Guinevere and Zeus sitting in the Tower building windows many times during January and February, so she did not migrate last year at least.

Guinevere has been hanging around the nest box for quite some time today. I substituted in a class for hearing impaired children at a local school today. We had a few minutes before lunch, so on a whim, I typed in south bend falcon cam. Guess what Guinevere is home! The children, many of whom are Amish were totally delighted to be introduced to Miss G. (You should have seen the fingers flying as they signed to each other!) :hapdance:
