Thank you Matrix, it is going to be hard to take the place of queen here. Our dear G was a very special lady for sure.
The only thing good is she did live a nice long life & was found and we won't be wondering what happened. Zeus only had the one year with her I hope he remembers everything she taught him :sosad2

this is heart breaking . It is hard to loose one of the old guard as DEF put it.

My hope is that Zeus attracts another female so this site can remain viable.

I did some checking and apparently Guinevere's body was too damaged to be mounted. It would have been wonderful if she could have spent her forever life next to Zephyr at the Rum Village Nature Center.

I am not sure what will become of her body Bev. There are federal and state laws dictating "disposal" so I doubt that will happen. I just wish she would have been discovered in good shape.

That would be so sweet!!!

I searched everywhere to see if I could find a pic of Zephyr at Rum Village NC...they don't have a webpage so I didn't have any luck.

Hello Jannice,
Thank you for the wonderful comments on our park. As far as Zephyr, it is our understanding that he will be coming to us sometime this year or possibly early next year. We do not have an exact date yet. He is currently at the taxidermist being mounted. We will have him on display at the Nature Center as soon as he arrives and we find the perfect spot for him. We will update on Facebook when this happens. Thanks for your inquiry.
