Happy New Year!
Please begin your 2014 posts here for the IPL Power Plant in Petersburg IN

CAM LINK

female – b/g, purple band
male - unidentified

John Castrale's report from 2012:
"2012- A plant worker checked a nest box (installed in fall 2004) on 3/24 and flushed an adult off three eggs. On 4/2, three eggs were unattended with an adult male perched on a nearby smokestack. Still 3 eggs on 4/9 with both adults observed away from box. Three cold eggs collected from nest on 4/24; no adults observed. Distant camera revealed multiple daily visits by the adults to the nest box through mid-May. Jim Verley monitored and provided access to this site."
No Known activity in 2013.

Petersburg IN is in southwestern Indiana on the White River. Located north and between Evansville, IN and Louisville, KY. Here are 2 pictures of the area.

Glad to see your watching DEF I have to go to work soon, sure is a beauty for sure whoever it is. I have over 50 pictures but have to wait for a bit to post anything. Maybe you can get something better than what I have. I forgot how yoiu had told me to do that refresh thing or I'd run laptop all night.

There are way too many birds listed in the data base to narrow it down...gonna have to get the bottom number...or at least a color..

You know I actually posted at Canadian FB page and the VERY nice person that replied (and I might add only took a few minutes) had the fresh eyes on this, said it looked more like and *X on the bottom. What do you think? If it would be an *X B/R then we would have 2011 Mack from PNC Bank Cincinnati.

Bingo...I think they are possibly right..It really does look like an "X"...either the red is really, really faded or really, really grimy!!

Hope he comes back.
