Adult Female: b/g R/13 - produced in 2007 at the Tower Building in South Bend, Indiana - she's back for her 5th year (this was printed the year this male Buckee was born)

Adult Male: Beaster, b/g 67/M is the father, born in 2005 at WE Energies, Pleasant Prairie Power Plant.

Carly..it says the Falcon's name is Buckee 2013 Female banded black 54 over red V

Sounds like Joyce is pretty sure Buckee is a male.

Sounds like Joyce is pretty sure Buckee is a male. All I know is DC better stay away from BS and pay more attention to DT and what's going on up north. :furious:

MAK said it was DC down at BS today. They've seen a female there too.

4 hatches at Racine in 2013, with 2 chick deaths...The midwest data base has Buckee listed as Male. We must have entered it wrong on our Banding Report!! I'll go fix that!!

Rochester has always been a hot spot for falcons!!

Actually the Database says that Buckee is Male

...and his Sister:

Maybe Greg changed his mind when he submitted his report to the Database..OR his report has a typo!!

Guess we'll find out if Buckee hangs around until spring and nests...then we will see who lays the eggs (if there are eggs)

Sent Greg Septon an email with the info and link to Rochester Forum. I am sure he will be thrilled to hear about Buckee beating the odds and surviving!

OK...mystery solved...the answer is yes!! I did some back tracking and found this:

Apparently, Indiana stopped submitting to the Database in 2007. Lucky for us that was the year that Buckee's mom was born.

Buckee's Mom's parents are:

Parents: M~2206-28918, F~1807-62135 (no band numbers listed)

Thankfully, both FWS band #'s were in the database!!

G and Z are Buckee's grandparents!!!! :sum9:

The cam has bats in its belfry again - It shows me images from Oct. 27,28, and early Oct 29, but will not go to current.......
First posted on October 29, and 30.
