Wow - This is such exciting news to hear of Indy Froona at the Port Washington nest in Wisconsin! Thanks, Gigi, for letting us know.

Hi KF,
We are jumping for joy here in Indy about our Indy Froona!!
All I can find is a site that shows still photographs updated each hour.
http://www.we-energies.com/environmental/protect_wildlife.htm
Is there anything else in the way of webcams for the Wisconsin sites?

Hi gigi...I'm not KF, but I can answer that...that's all we have for cams...I emailed Greg Septon several years ago to see if he could increase the "refresh" rate on all the cams...He really wanted to, but he stated that it was an "old" system/software and wasn't sure they would be able to do that...and since we're still getting hourly pics, then he wasn't able to change things...

gigi, WE is also where we watch the Great Horn Owl that took over the PF nest...

An email titled "Now I Understand" from Laura regarding Indy Froona's grandmother Raynie:

"emailed Greg and with some pics of IndyFroona and told him some of us were pretty intimidated by KathyQ. KathyQ's mom apparently died in 2009 or this year and this is what he had to say about her (Raynie was her name). Apparently, the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree and I bet IndyFroona will likely carry on the tradition:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Re. Raynie - I've been working with peregrines for almost 25 years now and have only been struck twice - and both times were my own fault for not paying full attention. One of these hits was from Raynie who was perhaps the most aggressive female peregrine I've ever seen. The moment she saw you - she was "on" and banding or working near the nest was always exciting to say the least.

She was a good one!"

For anyone who is interested in reading more about Raynie, Greg Septon's 2010 Nesting Report has a tribute to her. The link is:
The tribute is toward the bottom of page 10.

Thank you so much Catwoman. Seems our KathyQ comes from quite a gal.
I read the entire report. Each nest is wonderful. Sure hope Greg can check out the Roland Kampo Bridge site from the water next season...

I always look forward to Greg's reports! They are so interesting. Next year, we'll hopefully see a report on Indy Froona's nest of babies! :dancing3:

Oh, I can see they are putting up the Christmas decorations! When will the ignition of the Circle of Lights take place?
(So I can record it , if live on-line)

Good observation, DEF! I didn't notice it until you mentioned it. They always turn on the lights the day after Thanksgiving, so this year with Thanksgiving being on Nov. 25th, the lights will be turned on November 26th. Not sure of the time, so I'll have to check that out and post later.
