MONDAY Tuck-In Report: We didn't find Romeo and Juliet at tuck tonight, but it was comforting to know they are both ok, and they survived this monster of a storm. The nest seems fine and the cams in place, but the entire nest area is flooded (see pics posted above). Power and cable are still out in the nest area as is the case with much of Florida. All in all we are again blessed!

TUESDAY Tuck-In Report: Romeo and Juliet weren't sighted today as we scoped the area this evening and during the day. After bearing the vicious winds all thru the night Sunday night, they are deserving of some rest, no doubt. The perseverance wildlife endures is incomprehensible. Their absence is not unusual early in the season, so no worries. Six million Floridians are currently without power, so it is no surprise the Hamlet is affected. We are hoping for that to be soon corrected. SED Y'all

squee_AEF (Moderator): Good morning peeps! temps now are in the upper 60's; Wednesday's Hamlet forecast: mostly sunny today with temps in the upper 80's, winds 10-15 mph. Enjoy the day and keep your eyes to the skies!

AEF-NEFL With two hurricanes affecting the Hamlet in less than one year, we certainly dodged another bullet! The nest tree and area is a mess and completely flooded, but the nest is there, cams affixed, sleeping tree is now an island, TT is fine, Romeo and Juliet's new lumber yard trees (2-dead LYT's) will provide for nestorations, and most importantly Romeo and Juliet survived this monster Irma. Now waiting for power to be restored (so the cams are operable) as millions in Florida are. Our prayers and support now rest with the millions that had such devastation.
