Well, I updated the eagle calendar with what has been surmised. :girlcrazy:

1st egg: 11/22/2016???
2nd egg: 11/26/2016
3rd egg: 11/28/2016???

In notes: 11/26-1st egg buried & later determined broken. BUT another egg appears on 11/28. Not sure if this is egg #1 or egg #3.

Lets be honest here.. Harriet and M15 will do the best parenting for a eagle. I would not want them raising my children and feeding them road kill and roast found in unknown places. Leaving them out on a limb in high places to watch me fly. And only once in a while take a bath in a pond. And still leave them in a tree to get dived bombed by tiny little birds and tell them to pick on someone their own size.
Boy, it would be get to be a eagle parent. :buzzybee:

From what I'm reading, its egg #1 and it was uncovered on 11/28. Holes/shells were just speculation at the time. here's a vid by Lady Hawk of Harriet uncovering egg #1. Its rather long, but throughout it, you can see her digging it out..I guess time will tell if its viable or if they keep it in the egg bowl.

From SWF Eagle Cam FB page:
"Since Egg #2 was laid, the adults have been fully incubating both eggs which leads us to believe Harriet has completed her clutch or production cycle; even though the first egg may not be viable
Until all eggs are laid; eagles will sometimes delay incubation in order for the eggs to hatch closer together. This can help to reduce competition between the chicks which we have seen here on the cams in past season. This part-time incubation slows the early development of the embryo. Once the egg(s) are being fully incubated the embryo starts developing and the adults will roll the eggs to keep the temperature even throughout the egg.
Only time will tell if both eggs are viable. It's the Eagle's world we simply get the honor of watching it."

Thanks everyone. I will correct the nesting calendar to just show the 2 "original" eggs. Burying eggs is one thing we do not have to contend with with the peregrines. Life is full of excitement
