Indeed! E9 is perched in the nest tree tonight. No longer sleeping in the nest. This youngster is doing very well. |

E9 sees Harriet at the pond and joins her on the sand for a few quiet moments at the end of the day. Harriet was getting a drink of water after finishing her fish meal on the ground. E9 makes his way over to her hopping on the sand. After observing Mom in the water, E9 will be more likely to venture in soon and not be afraid. M15 knows exactly were E9 is and delivers a fish on the pond snag tree today. E9 self feeds on the branch for the 2nd time today! Dad stays on the branch during the long feeding which took over 20 minutes before E9 drops his fish (slow mo action at the 8:07 mark). M flies in to the nest tree right after sunset and E9 quickly mantles at him most likely expecting a fish. When E9 realizes there wasn't any he chitters softly at Dad hopping back and forth on the branches. M observes him and has a priceless expression on his face. M delivered a second fish which E9 claimed & was eating while M looks for nestovers. E9 vocalizes and protects his fish, nipping at M's tail and wings. M eats and feeds some to E9 who wants all the fish lol Harriet arrives and takes away the fish M was eating so he finds more nestovers before leaving. E9 warns Harriet this is his fish.
