I'm with you, mwplay..maybe its my wishful thinking too...It does look like a chip is missing from the egg, creating some dimension..but I didn't see it long enough to get anymore pics of it or to see if there was movement..

Dad is currently on egg duty. He is so much more relaxed than Cadence, who couldn't stay still if you paid her...

Being a 1st time Mom is not easy. With a new baby and another on the way, Juliet has probably not had much sleep. Here's the new Mom with her head tucked in her wing for a deeper sleep.

Union County

That certainly looks like a piece of the shell is missing, but the membrane appears intact beneath it.

I think he's the same male as last year, but of course, without bands, who can be 100% sure. I'd have to go into the archives to see how he did during hatching...

I'm still holding out some hope...I think he does have a "calm" personality...during all the chaos and drama, he basically went about his egg business most of the time without batting a falcon eye lash..

...its seems to always be iffy when there is a take over with eggs already in the nest..I just remember staring at the San Fran cam after that take over...wishing that at least 1 of those eggs would hatch..and then facing the reality that it just wasn't gonna happen..such a bummer to lose both females' eggs....but, then again, we have the hatches at Gulf that year. I'm guessing that was more of an exception rather than the norm...but, I guess time will tell..

So, Cady spent some time this morning building up her scrape walls. Dad came in and schooched around and tore the walls down. Yes, he was calm for the majority of his shift, but at his tail would twitch like he felt something. Wonder if the chick(s) are getting a rest while he's on because she keeps moving around? Also, she was schooching like crazy all last night.

I don't remember Cher moving this much with dud eggs at SF that year. Dad keeps coming in to get on the eggs today. Reminds me of DC when he would bring food into Beauty to get her off the eggs.

I wish we had audio here as we would then know one way or the other. Hard to be patient. I thought for sure when I finally woke up this morning (because I kept checking my iphone last night) that we'd see more evidence or a baby.

That dark red egg definitely has a crack in it.... and it's radiating, not just a little one. She's got it under her left breast. She just twirled it around and I couldn't snap a pic fast enough.

She needs lessons from her Momma on how to schooch on eggs. She's trying, but she really needs to get them under her and push down... She's keeping it under her breast & schooching in the back...

7:13~still nothing at Union. I just caught a switch and Carly I agree...appears to be little if no change to that egg.

Jersey City...I found the feed in the DVR...couldn't see the eggs, but 1 baby up and appeared to be eating well..

UC - I'm not giving up hope. She just shuffled & there's an egg 1/2 cracked. She needs to shuffle more on it. That's a VERY obvious crack.... it extends on the other side of this hole.. I was just booting up so didn't have all my programs loaded (I hate slow computers).

PS... it's really sad when I'm watching on my iphone with a good 10 second headstart on my PC all on the same home network. At least I can be ready for a good pic!
