Yikes! That sure looks like it. Well...Durand is a big gal and Aries is a big guy...both with big appetites. Somebody's been eating good.

This was taken at 9:17 this morning. I couldn't tell who was at which end, but no doubt the one closest to the camera is the one who left us with the "parting gift".

Thanks Vlu. I'm guessing Aries. I don't think I've ever seen him perched on the cam. I'll bet you dollars to donuts, Durand is on the cam. A BIG pellet from a BIG guy!

Both are on the ledge right now.

Wow! He actually invited her into the box with him. That's a switch! Perhaps his hormones are starting to kick in. I'm with you SGB...still waiting for Spark. I suppose we'll know for sure next month. I have to go back into C&C's page to fine out when Rocky usually returns to Ohio from his migration. I thought it was mid Feb.

Someone's home and just flew off the ledge.

Hi Loza...that's Durand. She then made her way down the ledge to the nest box and Aries flew onto the ledge by the ledge cam. She tried to invite him to the box, but once again, he ignored her. They are both still on the ledge. I got some pics, but I have been having such a hard time with Photobucket lately.

Thanks Loza. Great pics....saves me the time of dealing with Photobucket. They just had a bonding session in the box.

Thanks Tsusan, I saw that. The bird was busy preening. I saw a band on the L leg that appeared to be all black. but it was just a glimpse. I think it was Durand. Empty ledge now.

OK...I went back into C&C's facebook posts and found out that Rocky migrates back to Ohio early to mid Feb. However, in 2015 he cam back late on Feb 18 and last year, he was even later, toward the end of the month. Those were both bitter cold winters. Not so this year, but winter is not yet over. So, if Spark is on migration, he could be expected to return anytime during the month of Feb.
