HARRISBURG ~ JANUARY 2017

For now I will say that this bird was born in Pennsylvania. Was banded in 2010. And NOT from Harrisburg. And I had forgotten that last year during our fledge watch, and banded falcon landed on the balcony railing above the nest ledge. I hope to be able to spend some time downtown tomorrow morning.

Preliminary information from a reliable source seems to indicate this bird was born on a bridge in Lock Haven, PA. Was banded in May of 2010.

Thanks for the info Jane. Well, it's not like this hasn't happened before. Let's hope it turns out the way it always does, Little Dad rules the ledge and raises another beautiful family. Little Dad is the best of the best!!

Thanks Jane (you're ahead of me)...according to my old PA records, He was born (2010) on the McElhattan Bridge, in Clinton county. He had 3 siblings (2 males, 1 females)...No ID on the parents..He was banded May 25th.

(FYI~my source is the 2010 PA Banding report...I don't think it was published, but I found it by accident~along with several other banding years..)

Some one was calling, cant see any falcon.
Cam 1 with viuw on the stick and nest doesn't works for me...
Hope to see sweet Lil'dad soon.

7:05 am, I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED TO BE NIECEY AND THEN I HEARD ANOTHER FALCON EECHUPPING THAT SOUNDED JUST LIKE LIL DAD, BUT I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING AND UNLESS THAT NEW GUY SOUNDS JUST LIKE LIL DAD, IT WAS HIM :-)

NIECEY WAS ON THE SHIELD AND THEN JUMPED DOWN INTO THE SCRAPE MAKING NOISE AND BOWING AND THE NEW GUY IS ON THE CORNER. HE DOES SOUND ALOT LIKE LIL DAD. MY HEART IS BREAKING!!!

NEW GUY STOOD UP REALLY TALL AND WAS LOOKING UP ABERDEEN AND THEN HE TOOK OFF. NIECEY STAYED BY THE SCRAPE FOR A MINUTE OR TWO AND THEN SHE TOOK OFF...........I'M NOT ON THAT END OF THE FLOOR ANYMORE, CAN'T TELL WHAT'S GOING ON......

I just hate when drama like this happens...I'm just hoping this guy is passing through and that Lil Dad is just laying low and waiting for the right moment to swoop in and kick him out!!!

Don't see or hear any falcons right now. Am planning to get downtown around 10 and spend several hours down there today. I would prefer this male to leave the area ASAP.

Was just watching the cam. Niecey was there and I could hear another falcon. Someone had the camera zoomed in and the two were in the scrape together bowing. I couldn't see the bands on the male, but I think it was the new bird. Thought I saw a flash of green on the band as it flew away.
