My educated guess would be some time next week for the first hatch in Harrisburg.

Tuned in a few moments ago to find Little Dad still on the eggs and Niecey on the point. Was quite surprised to see a quick canoodle on the point. Second one reported today.

I've not had a very good look at them yet, but our Red Girl in Wilmington now has THREE chicks. Two must have hatched early this morning. Harrisburg should not have a lot longer to wait.

NIECEY IS STANDING AT THE FRONT OF THE SCRAPE, LIL DAD IS ON THE EGGS, HE STOOD UP BRIEFLY, BUT LAID BACK DOWN, LOL!

I was watching that also. Little Dad finally got up and went out the back door. Had a good look at the eggs before Niecey settled on them. Didn't see anything that looked like a pip.

Just saw another standoff with Niecey wanting on the eggs and Little Dad not wanting to get up. She was almost standing on him! He reluctantly left and Niecey settled on the eggs. Didn't see any pips. Little Dad is now on the point preening.

Glad you were able to catch some pictures of the standoff this morning, ljames. Thanks for posting them. Niecey is on the eggs right now.

Don't know if there is anything going on with the eggs, but Niecey sure is squirming around a lot. Maybe she can hear something that I can't.

Wish I could do pictures. Lil Dad and Niecey are laying in the scrape at the same time. Hot with the sun , panting like crazy and one sleeping. Not sure who's who cause I wanted to post this. :flirty:

Took another looked. I believe that's Lil Dad still on the eggs. I guess he doesn't want to move cause it's already getting hot out.

Niecey on the eggs now. Just as I went back Lil Dad was taking off. Time for me to put my laptop next to my computer.

When I just tuned in she was standing over the eggs looking at them. Maybe we might have a pip?? Could not see. She had them blocked pretty good. Working in the yard and keep coming in to check. Already to hot for me out there. I guess that's old age. :egg11:

Yes, Niecey is having a time in there and it's hard to watch. She is roasting . I thought I saw a tiny pip too.

I just got home and tuned in. Niecey is really panting in the hot sun. I haven't seen the eggs yet today. This is the first day when there is some humidity in the air. We're to have thunderstorms later today.

I got my headphones out to listen in to see if I hear chicks, but since then, I think every train in the country has rolled through. :egg13:
