nice to see the whole family here. Lil Dad on the point eating kids napping and Niecey sitting outside the box. Warming up right now. Possible thunderstorms later. Hope not, about tired of this rain.

Saw Little Dad in the scrape with the chicks about half an hour ago. He didn't have any food, but they were begging for some. He went out on the stick for a bit and is now on the point. Niecey must be over at the U Building having dinner. |

Tuned in just in time to see the end of a feeding. Don't know what it was but lots of white feathers flying around when Niecey took off. kids had decent looking crops. |

I overslept big time this morning. Missed the feeding. When I first tuned in there was a blob of fluffy feathers caught in a cobweb in front of the hole in the plywood for the camera inside the building, and the view was obstructed. They have since either blown off or got moved when Niecey came into the scrape. |

Niecey already panting. Sun is very warm and it's only 9:50 in the morning. Kids are in the shade for now sleeping. |

Little Dad brought some small prey a few minutes ago. Niecey came out of the scrape and took off with it. Little Dad is with the chicks now. From the look of their crops, they haven't had much to eat yet today. |

Wow, they sure did get big while I was away! I'll bet they are warm up on that ledge today. Before we know it, they will be banded and ready to try their wings. |

Tuned in to see a feeding. Was just going to comment that it doesn't seem like they are feeding as often as before, or else I'm just missing a lot of feedings. Any way glad to see them eating.

I'd say they are having flicker this morning. The head is laying there. Hope she takes it out or the kids will have a field da with it.

Saw your post regarding a Flicker meal earlier, Heida. I didn't post this earlier, but thought it looked like feathers of a Red-bellied Woodpecker on the point. I don't see any yellow feathers anywhere at the moment. Tried to find the head in the scrape, but it's either gone or else one of the chicks is sitting on it. Going way out on a limb in saying that I think one of the chicks is a female. My jury is out on the other two. |

Watched a feeding that ended about five minutes ago. Two chicks were totally stuffed. It looked like the third one didn't get much to eat. Almost certain the prey was a Blue Jay. |

Tuned in at 12:30 just in time to see the end of a feeding. Looks like everybody got there fair share. Noticed two of the kids have white feet and one is yellow. Maybe two boys and a girl or vice versa.?? |

Thanks for the report about the feeding, Heida. Niecey is up on the shield preening while the chicks are zonked out in the corner of the scrape. Don't know that foot color has anything to do with gender, but I am not an expert. I look at the size of the feet. |
