Bird Cams Around the World

Thanks for those pictures, ljames. Glad Niecey actually allowed Little Dad to feed the chicks. Niecey returned to spend the night with the chicks around 8:15. Little Dad stayed on the point until around 8:20.

Got home a bit ago to find Little Dad in the scrape trying to find some leftovers for the chicks. There were none, and now he's out on the stick. Chicks are very active picking at things in the scrape. Looks like the wing of a female Cardinal or maybe Brown Thrasher in the scrape.

Feeding was underway when I tuned in a while ago. The chicks are now sleeping it off, and STANDING as they do so.

Niecey was in the scrape a bit ago checking things out. She did not have food, and is now on the stick. Little Dad is on the point hanging on for dear life. It is REALLY windy here again.

Niecey and Lil Dad having a discussion. Finally Niecey leaves and Lil' Dad assumes his position on the shield, first on the side , then on the back. He also came into the nest once or twice. I got the impression that he was in protective mode, but nothing unusual happened.

Finally Niecey returned with a fresh kill. The chicks were ready to eat.

Your videos are appreciated, Freddie B. Around 8:00 tonight there was a feeding underway, and it was Little Dad doing the entire feeding. Niecey was on the stick watching. This is the first time this year I've seen him feeding the chicks, but somebody else saw him doing that a day or two ago.

Niecey is doing her best to keep the chicks dry this morning. We're having a chilly rain that's coming down pretty good, and that wind just won't quit.

Maybe they should put a roof on here .

Tuned into the cam about ten minutes ago to find three very active chicks. One was almost at the edge of the scrape looking toward the train station. Little Dad was on the point, and he took off down Aberdeen like he was after something. Less than two minutes later he was in the scrape with some very small prey which he promptly fed to the hungry chicks. Still VERY gloomy here, although that miserable wind has calmed down somewhat.

Red Girl's chicks in Wilmington were banded yesterday. Three males and one female. We'll find out about Harrisburg on May 10.

About ten minutes ago I tuned into the cam to find Niecey feeding the chicks. Sat and watched, and then Little Dad came into the scrape with more small prey. He was feeding one chick while Niecey fed the other two. I wish l knew how to make screen captures, but i don't.

Looks like the little bandits are doing good. Love when they start to get their mask looks. Pin feathers coming in nice too.

No pool this year? I'm guessing 2 boys an a girl. It's time for some boys here so Lil Dad has more of his genes passed on.
