This morning (9/18/2018) with rain from the remnants of Hurricane Florence pelting down, a soggy young peregrine dropped in at the Brady-Sullivan nest box in Manchester, NH. Colleen Smith and other observers monitoring the Single Digits nest box camera (yes, it still runs in the non-breeding season!) captured still images and video (see video link at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soR0V_OqNgo
) of the leg bands that show this young bird was not one of the three young fledged from the site earlier this year. This juvenile male had a black over green band on its left leg with the characters 29 over BU, telling us that he was banded by MassWildlife’s Tom French on 6/8/2018 at the New Balance Shoe Company Clock Tower in Lawrence, MA.
