Just saw a canoodle on the stick, and was pretty sure it was going to happen. Either today or tomorrow this computer should be taken in for some service, and am hoping to not be without it for a long time. |

Niecey is on the point and Lil' Dad is on the shield. They both appeared to be napping until Niecey stretched out to where she see Lil' Dad and gave THAT call to him.

They traded position after your post, ljames. And then a long canoodle on the point. Talked to somebody at the computer shop, and was advised that as long as everything is working to let well enough alone. Now if I decide to take this thing over there tomorrow morning, you can BET Niecey will lay her first egg. :-) |

FIRST THING THIS MORNING, NIECEY WAS SITTING IN FRONT OF THE SCRAPE. SHORTLY AFTER, LIL DAD SHOWED UP. SHE WENT TO THE STICK WHILE HE GOT IN THE SCRAPE AND THEN THE CANOODLE. I THINK TODAY MAY BE THE DAY, OH, AND THERE'S ANOTHER CANOODLE!

Poor Lil' Dad went to the scrape trying to get her to come in, then took off and she was looking all about and I thought there would be another canoodle, but not so far. |

Niecey was in the scrape for quite some time around noon, but was busy fooling with the gravel, and too active for an egg. She's on the point now, and there was a canoodle over there a few minutes ago. Niecey was calling and calling before the canoodle, and is continuing to call afterwards. Don't know if the chilly weather has anything to do with egg laying or not. |

Niecey was really eyeballing something overhead from her position on the point. She wasn't squawking or anything, but finally flew off. Little Dad was on the shield at the time. Shortly after Niecey flew off, he did the same. |

Missed the canoodle, but whatever they were looking at must not have been a problem, as they're both back. It is very windy here today (again) and not very warm. |

To my knowledge, the intruders haven't been reported for quite some time. And just checked DEP's info on the web site. The first egg last year was March 8. Not sure that the day of the week has anything to do with it. |
