I'm seeing Niecey on the shield and Little Dad on the point. Four sacked out chicks in the scrape. I don't know if they've been fed yet this morning. it's very overcast here and rather humid.

There was just a very short feeding. I've read elsewhere that the chicks had a big breakfast earlier. Niecey hopped up on the shield after the feeding, and Little Dad is on the point looking around. Probably he's looking for some flood to fly past.

Niecey defeathering dinner.

Babies are hungry, and the smallest had to really step up his game for some bites. He was somewhat successful.

Just watched another feeding. Thought one might be coming as I saw Lil' Dad on the point and Niecey gone, so I stuck around to see. Soo glad I did. Plenty of food for everybody and it's the first time I can even remember seeing the baby with a huge crop. They were all happy and full. Pictures in a while maybe.

I didn't post about that feeding a little after 6:30 tonight. About five minutes ago Niecey brought more food into the scrape. Only two chicks seemed interested, and she almost had to force them to eat. There are some storms passing well to the north of here, but we are getting some of the wind. Maybe it will blow some of that feather mess out of the scrape.

Here are some pics of the one I mentioned above.

Watched a feeding about half an hour ago. Those chicks are so full. Niecey came into the scrape with another small scrap of food about five minutes ago, but she left with it. It has started raining here and MUCH cooler than the past few days.

There was a feeding that ended about five minutes ago. One chick had a BIG piece of food that it was having trouble swallowing. It managed to manipulate the food into a better position, and then down the hatch. All looked stuffed now. It's very gloomy here today and temps are in the high 50s. Not raining at the moment.

Watched a feeding that ended about five minutes ago. Chicks were all lined up at the end of the scrape. One chick got a foot of the meal, which it finally spit out after trying to swallow it. I've not seen any of them venture outside of the scrape yet, but it's likely to happen within the next day or so.
