Niecey just came in and informed Lil' Dad that she wanted to be with the chicks,

Pretty sure that he went out the back door and to the point to fuss a bit.

I spent about an hour and a half downtown this afternoon. Little Dad was on the point when I got there. He took off down Market Street, just soaring back and forth between 333 and the U Building. He then went into the scrape, and was in there when a man stopped to ask if I was watching the hawks. I filled him in, and showed him video on my phone, which he enjoyed. Little Dad left the scrape and flew out over the State Street Bridge, and returned to the point briefly. Then he flew over to the U Building and landed on the ledge near the silver pole in the corner. He didn't stay there long, and took off down Market Street. About five minutes later he returned with some prey. Don't know if he had caught it or got it from the stash at the U Building. Whatever it was had a lot of feathers, and I could see him defeathering the thing and eating part of it. He eventually took the prey to the scrape, so if anyone was watching around 5:25, you saw Niecey do that feeding. Little Dad came to the stick after the prey delivery, and I had to leave to come home for dinner. It's too bad you can't see the cherry trees over at the train station right now. They are in full bloom, and absolutely beautiful. Also for anyone local, there was a short story on ABC27 about the falcons. It showed Niecey with the three chicks.

There were pictures and updates of the family on the Hanover Eagles site. Different ones commented about how cute they are, since they don't follow them. Maybe they'll start watching since there are no eggs for the eagles.

Just watched another feeding. There was another story about the falcons on our local news noon. It showed Niecey feeding the chicks, but the story had been updated from yesterday to say that there are now four chicks.

There is a feeding going on now, but I can't watch. I hate it when there is a chick so much smaller than the others.

Just watched another feeding . The baby had it's mouth open most of the time but I didn't see a single bite go in. She was looking at it and I thought that she was going to feed it several times, but the bite always went to another chick. Didn't see it get any during the last feeding I saw either. Hopefully, I'm just missing the feedings when it does get fed. Won't watch anymore for a couple of days.

I thought the same thing, ljames, but wasn't totally sure if the newborn was fed or not. I missed the feeding(s) this morning, but can tell there was at least one by the feather leaning against Niecey's left wing. It's overcast here this morning and cooler, with some drizzle expected.

I just read a post on the Wilmington Falcons' Facebook page. The man who bands falcons in Delaware and Maryland stopped at the nest building in Wilmington this past Friday. Red Girl and her mate Trinity have four chicks that are a little over a week old. I see that has been shared on the Wilmington forum. There's a picture of the chicks and Red Girl on the Wilmington section of this forum.

Just got home from errands, and checked the cams. Little Dad delivered some small prey to the scrape. Niecey took it and fed the chicks. It was hard to see if all chicks ate due to where she was standing. It was a quick feeding, and the chicks would probably have eaten more if there WAS more. It has gotten quite windy here, but so far it's dry.

Just watched another feeding. All four chicks were fed. Looks like the two oldest ones may now have sight, as they appeared to have their eyes open.

I've been out for a couple hours, and don't see any posts. Little Dad brought prey to the scrape about ten minutes ago. Niecey didn't come to get it, and Little Dad started picking at the prey. Niecey finally got up, and I figured she'd feed the chicks. Instead, she flew off with it. Little Dad came to cover the chicks. i was away from the computer for about a minute, and when I came back Niecey was back on the chicks, and I can see Little Dad out on the stick. Maybe the chicks were fed before this, but it seemed strange.

Just watched a feeding. Yes, I made it until the end. Baby did get fed, maybe 5 or 6 bites, but that seemed to be enough for him, as he fell asleep. Lil' Dad came in with more prey, at least I think so. Niecey took it from him and walked over to feed the chicks, but no takers. She took it to stash as she wasn't gone too long. Lil' Dad didn't even get a chance to settle in.

In the first pic, you can see the little head of the baby.
:flirty:

The other is Niecey taking the additional prey away then back with the chicks. The other pics were blurry.
