Thanks for the pictures and the explanation, ljames. I wondered if there had been a previous feeding that I didn't see. It started raining here about an hour ago, and is to come down rather heavily overnight and then quit in the morning. |

AROUND 6:13 WAS THE FIRST FEEDING I SAW. IT'S BEEN RAINING MOST OF THE MORNING. RIGHT NOW, LIL DAD IS ON HIS CAM PERCH AND NIECEY KEEPS SCREAMING WHILE LAYING ON THE KIDS. MAYBE SHE IS HUNGRY, LOL! |

Not sure if there was another feeding a little bit ago or not. I can see Little Dad's tail from up on the camera perch. It's still raining pretty good right now. |

Just saw the end of another feeding. Looked like all chicks were fed. Little Dad is back on the camera perch, and it's still raining. |

6:15 LIL DAD BROUGHT MORE FOOD INTO THE SCRAPE, NIECEY TOOK IT AND LEFT WITH IT. LIL DAD FOUND A SCRAP IN THE SCRAPE AND WAS TRYING TO FEED THE KIDS, BUT THEY DIDN'T REALLY LOOK INTERESTED SO HE ATE IT HIMSELF. NIECEY WAS BACK IN LESS THAN 3 MINS WITH NO FOOD. GUESS SHE STASHED IT SOMEWHERE. SHE CHASED LIL DAD OUT AND SHE'S WITH THE KIDS. |

Just tuned in to find Little Dad working on a Flicker on the point. While watching that one of the resident Flickers at my place arrived. Kind of ironic. Told that Flicker to NOT get any closer to downtown! |

    Niecey was on the point with a bird head and chicks were uncovered, then Lil' Dad comes in and the little baby had it's mouth open a good bit. Niecey came in and Lil' Dad went to the point. But something upset him and he began alarm calling. Niecey left the nest to check it out. Never saw anything. |

Watched a long feeding about half an hour ago. All chicks were fed. Niecey is currently shielding the chicks from the sun while Little Dad is on the point with the Flicker head. Wish it would blow off the ledge. |

Watched a feeding about ten minutes ago. Three chicks were definitely fed. It was hard to tell if the smallest one was fed or not due to Niecey's position. It's been raining here all morning thus far, and about 50 degrees. |

Just watched another feeding. All four got their share. Niecey took off with the remains of the meal. Can see Little Dad out on the stick. Rain has just about quit. |

Boy, ANOTHER feeding. Only two of the chicks seemed interested, as their crops looked to be full already. One chick got a leg of the prey. Was glad that Niecey took it away from him/her. Sun is trying to come out now. |

Just watched a long feeding that lasted about 15 minutes. Each chick got plenty. Niecey is very careful with her feedings. Toward the end of this feeding it looked like she was forcing each chick to take another bite. |

Watched a feeding that took place about five minutes ago. One chick that had enough managed to get itself over in the shade in the corner of the scrape. Niecey left, but Little Dad came into the scrape and found a few scraps to feed the three chicks that were still interested. Their crops were bulging. |
