Feb 15, 2018 Carolyn caught a cutie at Sherco, even his band. This might be his first breeding year if he stays. Dunno if Sherco resident will chase him off. I messaged RRP Amy, she replied.... That is River D/51, a falcon I banded at Great River Energy in 2015. Attached is a photo of all four as little fuzzballs (credit Brenda Geisler)! GRE is about 8 miles SE of the Sherco plant. Brenda, our falcon contact there, is an excellent caretaker and will be thrilled! Amy aka Mrs Falcon, RRP

Thanks kitten Went to post LIVE on RRP thread and noticed River D/51 had been reported killed - Obviously not correct information! :D I dont know where I got that info but I like to record stats, even bad ones

 Thanks for the heads up that Elk River is "on". In the MISC info section there is a link for a map that shows the locations of various nests in Minnesota and Wisconsin. But it's a dead end... any way it could be resurrected?

| Hi Catwoman, When I go to the Elk River thread, there are two "subheadings" The first one is for the cam, and below that the second heading says "Re: Great River Nesting Info" Click on that and scroll down to the line that says "A map that shows the locations of various nests in Minnesota and Wisconsin" , and it gives a URL, but the URL doesn't work for me...

I spent a half an hour going over some maps that they referenced & could find nothing, as well as searches on the internet. I have deleted the Nesting Information reference. Can anybody else think of where to search for it? Thanks! |

 The bands look like a they have a 2 , 3 and what looked like an M to me. I can't tell if the band is all black or B/R. I think the visitor was there around 1:30 pm   |

The male falcon ~ Brooklyn 65/M a 2012 fledge from the Colonnade Building in Golden Valley, Minnesota has returned to the GRE nest box for his fourth year yesterday afternoon. There is a female falcon in the area, but he hasn't gotten her into to the nest box so I can get her band numbers. I'll keep you posted once things progress. |

She is Breezy 31/P a 2015 fledge from the King Plant!! She was actually here at the nest box last fall! Great to see her back!
