I heard about this one. as wild as you can get. remember we used to watch another on somewhere on a cliff, but predators kept getting eggs.
hope this one is successful as they are great to watch in thr wild.

if I wait long enough it will be fall and I will not have to change my sign :girlcrazy:

Thanks Swinwk...we must have been checking the cam at the same time...Hard to get a decent pic, but Dad is just so cute. He must always be close by!!

Image

Dad really focused on the new chick (that's a wet wing)

Image

He didn't get much time...here comes mom

Image

Reluctant to leave

Image

He stood in front of the cam for a few before moving out of view.

This was under the SF topic, so it was out of order. SWINCK said the 3rd chick hatched 5/1.

Thanks catwoman :teehee:

Something startled Mom and she dashed off, kicking one of the trio out of the scrape.

A few minutes later she came back and shoved the stray eyas back into the scrape

At sunset there was a first meal for the babies.

Seeing reports that the gulls breed here and they number in the thousands. Here is a wider view of the nest and the cove beneath it.
