I know you are Jane, and I know that you are always there for them and we appreciate it. Less time posting and more time resting equals more time on falcon watch

The top picture is earlier, but I couldn't remember if we had a post with one of the juvies on the shield.

There would NEVER be a release on the ledge with two birds that have not fledged yet. That would mean all of a sudden we'd be following three birds at once. Little Yellow Foot is spending the night up above the nest ledge on top of the column. His flights after the release were amazing, particularly when Niecey was flying with him to guide him to the Carson Building roof. He was on the roof of the U Building earlier this evening, and Niecey came with food to beak feed him, although she did leave the prey for him to work on himself. After he flew back to Carson, Niecey cleaned up the remains. She is a REALLY good mother. We did see Big Yellow Foot go around the column this morning and then return. She may be the next to fledge. Little White Foot is not quite ready. We are sure he is a boy, and most likely the last to hatch.

Thanks for the report Jane, so the little guy is back in action and doing well.
Yes Niecey is a really good mom and she learned everything she knows from Lil' Dad.

Everything looks calm, but the two juvies have been screaming a lil' Dad, guess they just tired out. Hope the boy finds his way back to the ledge soon.

I think I saw the first chick around the column fall or fly off the ledge, not the boy

So the bigger chick goes around the column, and it looked like she would fall any second. The other big chick went behind the box. The boy chick started around the column and the one behind the box followed. The chick already over there tries to come back and the path is blocked, so she flaps he flaps, and a minute later, out the corner of my eye, I saw somebody, fall, fly , fly by, whatever. The two chicks still by the column appeared to be looking like they do when another chicks leaves the ledge.

You saw Big Yellow fledge, ljames. She's safe for the night on a window ledge on Forum Place. Little Yellow Foot put on some fantastic flying shows today before he returned to the ledge.

So Niecey was on the shield, boy chick by the post, and small girl(?) screaming her head off. Little Dad flies in toward the box, with no food, and runs into the box like he wants to bond. Then the screaming chick comes running. You can't imagine how fast they both got out of there. Lil' Dad tried to jump up to the shield, fortunately Niecey managed to get off in time.

Sorry the picture's not great, but you can see blurry Niecey to the left, at the end of the stick, airborne, and Lil'Dad trying to get on the shield. Of he took off too. It was fantastic in real time.

:hahah
