love thesounds at this nest. That is why I love going out to our hack site, along the Pembina river. to see all our falcons in such a natural setting and doing well, vs thecity windows and buildings and streets, is sure Bliss

Daniela, who posts alot on BCAW online, noticed that Mom appeared to be inexperienced. I have to agree, but she got a few bites into the first one's mouth (although with feathers). I think she's going to do okay! :CLAPS:

Yes, I was just coming to post the same. Watched both reveals of the new chicks and watched a couple of feeds. Many bites went to Mom, but the 2nd feed she got a few bites to #1. She even offered the whole thing to chick #1, 2-3 times. You can really tell she is a 1st time Mom and it makes sense, because I believe she is the same young female that took over here last season and didn't want HopperJet to incubate. They went round and round with that back then. But, she is trying, seemed to improve a wee bit from 1st to 2nd feed, attentive and she tries, tries, tries! Waiting on #3 to hatch.

I came in midway thru the feed. She at least tried to feed the two, but she's having trouble choosing what appropriate for little throats. She even attempted to feed the one a foot, but thought better of it and ate it herself! :teehee:
