I am so sad here. Newman has not stepped up to plate and shown our young miss what to do, as far as feed goes. If baby does no t get soon. it will no t make it.

this is not the fault of female. sh e is young and is not sure what to do . I have not ever seen this, where the male does not help out.

she brought in a bit of food and #1 maybe got a bite . she is trying but Newman needs to show her

I believe #1 chick has passed. there is a hole in egg#3 . chick closest to her is alive. chick #1 is closest to lip o f box. I tried to see movement and did not. I did not expect to this morning. she dropped prey on chick one and I did not have time to see a feed,. but i think not. she just does not know what to do. chick #1 maybe got a bite, maybe two. the whole time
not females fault, she is young and needs some guidance. Newman not sticking around



I hope some can watch becasue I am trying but I am teaching I just do not have much time.

She may have killed one chick dropping bird on it.
The Baltimore falcon mom did that her first year several years ago.
Its probly not unusual

I think that chick was already dead this morning.

T8ill around 9 this morning I have been watching

it was #1 hatch that passed away probably during night. Prey was dropped on it this morning but it was already deceased. there was a hole in third egg but #2 was alive and wanting to be fed. it got none that I could see.
she does no know what to do. she clucks and really tried to feed #1 last night after 2nd had hatched. but she had pieces too big and gave up . I knew it would no t make morning as it could barely get up. #2 had just hatched and was still wet

I am praying she catches on. usually the experienced male helps

I cannot watch next few days, but will try an d peek in
I cannot watch as I am teaching and really trying to make most of last few weeks of school.

I peeked in, and saw that . I t go t stuck to her foot. It was the deceased one. she looked as it fell. I had a few tears as she faithfully and gently brought it under her, even though it had passed. With time, which I do not think she has this yer, she will be a nic e gentle mom.
so far, that I saw , chicks fell over backwards when she tired to put big bites in mouths. she tried to feed one when it was on its back. I do no t think much going in.

I jsu t think it was nice for her to have 3 hatch, no matter what happens. at dubois, the male helped her , or wen tin after her with food and fed.

feed a few minutes ago and blocked so I am praying she got some in. 2nd hatch is getting weak.

I am out for now and can only be here first thing in morning, but will try and peak.

2nd chick has passed away. I knew from signs early evening. hopefully last chick survives.

hope someone can watch. she just cannot get into mouths. Where is her partner. I do not watch here often so I do not know what kind of a male he is.

I watched a feed for one and maybe it got a wee bite. she just cannot figure out that she needs to get a fleshy bit and put it n mouth, she tries but never quite keeps it in mouth and then she eats.

I am sorry, I am getting ready for teaching

I watched a feed and she got at least 4 bites in wee one. Hope it is enough. She takes them out but hopefully little one gets steadier and she can hit moth better.
this female will be a good mom, she just needs a bit of help form high above.

just watched a feed. BAby got 4 or 5 bites. she is trying but needs to give fleshy bits and then wee one could keep them in. She pushes too hard to try and get them in and baby falls over.

but she is very gentle. God bless them both. that things get better for both. My heart is so torn . do n So I guess , maybe whee some other chicks have died, maybe this happened.
I have to find my password for their forum , here. I wonder why they are not watching more.

I just cannot desert this female. I really like her and she is trying. So far she seems to be getting some into baby. I think if there are lots of feedings , it will get enough, I hope , til it can take the big pieces. the feed that I watched earlier was blocked.

somehow in my mind, I feel I am supporting her. It just goes to show that the th e other female , probably did feedings on her own also. this happens at other sites also. I have watched Newman and he fake feeds. So this is probably what he has always done.
