Mom went over to it within the last 10 minutes, but she just left it alone. Toledo group is saying that they're not hearing any vocalizations now. :sorrow:

I think what is confusing her is that's the end of the nest where her food is stashed. I wonder if the male put that baby in her food stash, maybe he doesn't know what comes out of those eggs? Oh, well--that's a shame. :sorrow:

Oh no! My heart just sank when I read the last few posts….I was with my grandsons most of the day- no time to check my “birdies” as the boys call them. Just heart breaking - I hope this pair will do better for the next hatch…Toledo

This is why an upgrade of the Fal-Cam would be very helpful — right now it’s so hard to make out what’s happening. It looks to me like one chick has just been fed, that at least two eggs remain unhatched, and that the parents managed to return the now-deceased chick (just above the white egg) to the circle.

pretty sure I see 2 being fed. I went ou t and thought I had on record and forgot to push start

but male did not want female to come in. she came once and he would not get up. this time he finally did but sat outside door for awhile . will look at tape in a bi t and see what I can post
