From Forbes: Where Do Birds Go In A Hurricane? There is an interesting video showing birds in the eye of the storm. I pray that all the humans and animals are safe each time there is a storm. |

Loved it. And speaking of cats, this is an article in the current National Geographics: What if Everything You Think About Cats Is Wrong? A study of feline behavior shows that cats can be taught—despite their reputation for being untrainable and aloof. PHOTOGRAPH BY SETH CASTEEL |

this is our Steve. Awesome guy. He is our falconer who stays 24 hours a day at our hack site at Pembina. He just is amazing . He was telling us how he did that with the gyrofalcon. one of the good ones I iwll be doing our write up soon on the pembina. He really cares,. This is wh2y I get os upset when some rehab sites criticize falconers there are falconers and there are ones like STeve. when you have strict laws in place for falocners, you get good ones. when you let anyone take a falcon, just because they want one, you get bad ones.(one that do not know what they are doing) Steve and a few more of our Alberta ones have rehabilitated many of our falcons. Miss Edmonton was one of those that one of our falconers, rehabbed. |

We owe falconers much of the success of the falcon reintroduction. Since most of the wild bred birds were producing eggs that were not sustainable, the falconers provided birds that had not ingested DDT. It was those birds who were able to produce eggs that did not break, thus hatching the generations of falcons that we see today. I iwll be doing our write up soon on the pembina. He really cares,.
