IS THERE A PART OF THIS SITE THAT LISTS ALL OF THE PEREGRINE SIGHTINGS - LIKE A BANDLOOK UP FOR THIS SITE? LIKE IF SOMEONE SEES MY STELCO AND NOTES IT OUT THERE, THERE COULD BE A PAGE THAT LISTS ALL SIGHTINGS. JUST A THOUGHT. OH PART 2 - I KNOW THERE ARE 2 SITES ON THE WEB TO LOOKUP BANDS IS THERE MORE THAN 2 OUT THERE? THANKS:)DINA

Hi Dina...I'm afraid I have the same answer as Susan...we don't have anything organized here on this forum....We could encourage viewers to post non-resident birds/bands when they are seen on individual cams under "Breaking News", then we could use one of the bandlook websites to see if we could identify that bird..I'm wondering if obxbarb, Libby, Carly, etc. might know of other band lookup websites...the only one I've ever had any luck with is:

http://www.raptorresource.org/falcons.php

..and I've got one more...but I can't find the link...I'll keep looking..

I have this this is the one I don't know if it'll help or not

Yes...thanks, KF...that was the link I was looking for...I have another general site that explains the color banding, etc...I'll post that one too...as far as I know, you can't look up bands, but the colors help you isolate a region...

I just learned that the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton, Ohio, has their falcon cams on line again. They have 4 eggs being incubated. Somebody might be looking for the URL and want to post pics or meet others on the forum?

Thanks, Normangelo! We have the cam link under Peregrine Falcon U.S. Cam Links & its listed under Boonshoft Museum, Dayton. The posts for that cam are under Misc. US Falcons topic.

Thank you! I looked for it, obviously not hard enough, and knew it had been gone for some time. I have a brother and wife there in Dayton, with memberships so they can take tne grandkids to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery when they visit.

I think people have trouble finding it because its listed under Boonshoft instead of Dayton. I'm going to re-label it & hopefully that will eliminate the confusion...

How about a YouTube button? It would be one of the selections over the message box. When you click on the button, the code is automatically placed in your post and all you have to do is add the url. It embeds the video. It works like the Img button, where you add the url in the middle.

click thumbnail above

Hi Beans...great idea...and I have tried to add one..I obviously am not coding it correctly because I can't get it to work..I even followed the suggested coding from the PHPbb support website....but I will give it another try. Maybe I will have fresher brain cells and better luck this next go round..

Hmmm.... I don't know what happened to the images in my post, above. PB acting up? Did I inadvertently move a pic in PB?

Anyway, I just put a post in the Chat area that would be suitable in a Conservation and Preservation topic. Perhaps we should have a thread for that?

Doesn't the "Wildlife Conservation and Rehabilitation" topic work for that?

I wasn't sure... sometimes there are conservation efforts that save land or trees or rivers (and so on). The wetlands project benefits wildlife but also provides more open space for people. In one or two years, people will be able to explore the new Sonoma/Napa wetlands.

Cricket, aren't your posts automatically spell-checked? Mine are... The word not recognized shows up with a red zig-zag line.

I'm not positive, but I think what catwoman describes is a function of Firefox.

Sorry, phpbb software (which is what makes up this forum) doesn't have that function--I don't think..I'll research it...but, Susan is correct, when I use Firefox, it spell checks automatically..

You're absolutely right, Susan! I went into the forum using IE & didn't have spell checker. Of course, I always use Firefox, so spell checking is always available to me...

Install the Google toolbar and you have a spell checker for every page with forms.

I don't worry about spell-checking. I think most of us understand what the poster meant to say.

Ok when I get home I'll ask Ken to put Firefox back on. Thanks for the advice.

The misspelled word does have an red line underneath, I checked that out and you are 100% correct. Also appreciated the comment about knowing what was being said! Love ya'll. :flirty:

Can we have an area for Pink Falcon Mafia Ladies and Men for Meeting's? I want to have one for this Spring in Harrisburg and plant flowers in Mom's Memory as discussed last year. We can call it our Annual Spring Fling! It will give us the change to meet after a harsh winter as we have had and enjoy each others company.

We could also have other "meetings" during the course of the year. I think it would be a lot of fun. Being Retires now I have plenty of time on my hands to plan different things for all of us to do.

Ex: Deep Sea Fishing outing, going to a Casino, A day or weekend at the beach, walking the Boardwalk, a Picnic where everyone would bring something.
