Neckar River flows in an east-west here. Heiligenberg mountain to the right of the river rises. Climatic region invented the protected valley and Odenwald betweent Pfälzerwald. Modern Heidelberg can trace its beginning, and fifth century.

In the moment many people visit an exhibition in the Library of Heidelberg University: "The Codex Mannesse and the discovery of Love", showing one of the library`s most exquisite books from 13th century. Many of the book`s pictures show medieval poet-knights with their lovers. Looking at the pictures you never know who they love more: the lady nearby or the falcon on their hand... See background-poster! In the entrance we see a fine Peregrine falcon - prepared, as we say- a Heidelberg falconer lent to the exhibition. So many people can study a Peregrine falcon from short distance. This falcon could be an ancestor of JETTA or PERKEO I wondered.

Another surprising view! Parish of Holy-Spirit-Church wants to show that they plan to reduce CO2-output in their buildings and decorated the steeple of Heiliggeistkirche with a huge red shawl for three days! I think, producing this obsolete shawl was an unnecessary sur-plus CO2-output...
PERKEO shows strong nerves and keeps coming and going. This morning I discovered him in the dark sitting in the "door" of nestbox until 7.30 a.m. (nest-box is on the other side of the steeple.)
