Great capture Nancy. Kate St John said that Aviary can't go live until after Wild Earth does. They are working on it right now (She said that Friday).

Image

She stayed out of cam view...but he kept "talking"...

Then she left...he went to the ledge and looked around...and finally she returned!!!

...and after all that wooing...I can't believe how quick he got outta there...

Yes, he obviously feels intimidated by her--no wonder, she's a big girl! Thanks, SGB! :sham3:

Dori's 1st egg was April 2nd, but I don't think that's any indication, due to the take-over event.

The falcon wasn't there when I first opened the page. It came in later. Sorry

Great bonding video, Coriena--thanks! I see a spot in front of the nestbox that looks like another scrape--hope they don't use that since there's no shelter over that one. Or it may just be where a weed was pulled up. Hope we don't have to try to see the chicks through a bunch of weeds this year! :o

She is sitting there now, in the back scrape at about 11:30. No egg that I can see but speaking of scrapes, I remember one year there were about 5 bowls all over the nest to choose from. Looked like somebody had dropped little bombs on it.

I guess the chicks like the weeds and they may help provide coverage for them, but it makes our viewing almost impossible. We couldn't even count them all at times last year.

Glad you got to see the egg last night. I went on to bed and missed it.

She called and called after she laid. I could hear Louie too. He must have been sitting near the cam.
