:thankyou DEF, I finally figured it out with a little [okay, a lot] of help from SGB. I didn't realize that all I needed to do was manually add .html after the name and that is what would make it into a real link. I am watching the rocks now, but at a 1 second refresh rate. Makes it so much more interesting!!!!!

HELP ME SOMEONE PLEASE I'm as stupid as a stick

Kitten, This is what DEF and SGB figured out. The trick is when saving to Notepad [should be in your "accessories" in your programs] is to add .html after whatever title you choose to save the link as.

Here goes:

Ingrid sent me her link...which works for me...so I kept trying...and this is what I finally got to work...

Copy and paste the code she posted in Notepad.

Go up to file and click "Save As"...a window will open that looks like this:

Image

OK...Look at the window, File name. You will see *.txt. Change that to whatever you want to call it, such as IPL refresh but make sure you add .html after the name, like this:

Image

Click save.

Now go to where ever you saved it and you should see either the IE or Firefox icon (in my case, you see the IE icon)

Image

Click on that and voila...you have a cam that refreshes. Now, I changed the code in what Ingrid posted from a 3 second to a 1 second refresh...you can do the same if you want to. Just locate the line that says:

var t = 3 // interval in seconds

change the 3 to 1 and you will get a 1 second refresh.

Hope all this makes sense.

Once it opens up as a refresh (it will probably ask you to install activeX or something, make sure you save it to your favorites...

KF or anyone...if you need help setting up a refresh page, just let me know...thanks to DEF, its a lot better than refreshing every second...(if you're a Mac user, I may not be much help...)

The "Banded" one...I hope they've identified who it is because I can't seem to catch him when he's close to the cam for a read...

OK...I have a long way to go to refine band pics...and I have a few more to go..but no time to work on them now...

Thought this was a G and a number...but, no G number in the data base...so, for fun I ran 67/B...which, it only slightly looks like...guess who 67/b is...Hatched right from this nest in 2008. The male that year was unbanded..

But, back to the drawing board...at least he got closer to the cam this time..

I would have said it was a G also. I couldn't see a 6 at all.

SGB, that's the best shot of the band so far. Good job. It kind of looks to me like the G/B is really the clamps of the band . . . ? :hmmmm
