Oh, how precious! Thanks for the great pics & commentary everyone. Wouldn't you know it, I sat on my butt all Winter & now that chicks are hatching, I'm working!

That first chick seems to be larger than normal to me. Anyone else think that?

I thought the first chick was really big. Maybe because she/he was a day late? I think they were due yesterday.. but could have been my counting.

Well, now she's gone. Maybe it was her dinner. I think Dan just came in.. Now Dad left and Lil is back. There she goes. She just put the prey on the eggs and looks like she is going to brood them. Now she just turned around. I think the prey isn't clean enough for her??

Well, I guess that was dinner for Mom. I don't know if she's eaten today. Dad just left and Mom is now back 6:35PM PT

One hungry eyas this morning. Love how Lil just lays there. At this point she's really just picking at the prey. Don't know that she's actually given the eyas anything yet. She just moved and I think is starting a feeding.

Good question...I have been watching and wasn't sure if that was a new crack, or if that was from #3 who arrived just a few hours ago. At that time, the 4th egg looked completely intact to me.

We will just have to wait for a feeding or re-adjust to be sure
