While I really wanted to see Ginger head for the sky today, I'm glad she's biding her time until she's good and ready!

Thanks to everyone - the cam watchers and reporters, Barb and Mike and the others on the ground, and Ray for operating the cam from his phone - for the wonderful coverage today.

The last few minutes have been really intriguing! At 8:53PM (actual, not cam time) she was bobbing up & down, then went totally missing next cam refresh. Thought there was a chance she slid down the outside ledge, but Ray & folks seemed to find her back in the box... then back on the ledge... then up, then down...

She's really moving around!

I hope she does not fly after dark like Phoenix in Indianapolis!

Ditto for me! I hope she stays put in the nest box for the night.

I agree, Susan and Catbird...I'd feel a whole lot better if she headed back to the box..or at least got down off the ledge!!!

Hey DGIF - Thanks for pointing us to the nice report of the day's actions and the cute picture of the reluctant "fledgling" on the ledge this evening.

P.S. Something tells me that she'll be ready to take flight first thing tomorrow morning.

Thanks for posting the pics Steve! It was amazing watching how aggressive they were today. Ray had a war wound on his hand to prove it!

I was watching too, & thought she disappeared, but then I thought that it was just too dark to see her. Glad she's safe!

Thanks for the update, DGIF! I wasn't able to see the release pictures, though. Either the link isn't working or I was doing something wrong.

Great pictures of Harriet. When looking at the one of her on the ledge, I thought it would be neat to be able to get that close to her, but then I realized that it wouldn't be fun if her wrath were directed at me!

Just finished reading all the posts from today - thank you so much for the great coverage and photos! I couldn't be online earlier, so really appreciate being able to catch up.

I don't know where she moved to after she was no longer visible on the ledge this evening:

Many thanks for the updates and the beautiful photos of Harriet. I would love to see the photos from the installation of the release trigger, but the link didn't work for me.

Thank-you DGIF, for the photos and report. I could not get the picutres of trigger release either.

Andthanks SGB for video and pciutres and anyone else who gave reports and pictures. I had to leave at 11:30am my time. I seem to be late for a lot of things lately. I blame it all on traffic

See what tomorrow brings. Glad there are spotters on the ground
