Great videos, Carolyn!!! Well, it certainly looked like Cade was having a blast...In the first one, I loved watching the expressions at the first sound of thunder and those first raindrops...

Some very good news...Posted by TPC just a few minutes ago:

We found Carson last night. He had a bit of a dust-up with they Hydro building and was hanging out on their 3rd floor balconies when he was picked-up. He was doing well late last night and he's being checked out at Wildlife Haven this morning so hopefully I will have more information on his condition soon ... He looked good last night but birds are oddly fragile (for such tough creatures) and peregrines can be difficult to deal with. Last night he was hissing and annoyed which is a good sign, but we will see what the rehab folks find out during his exam ...

More news as I have it!

Update on Carson ...

He survived the night and has been checked by the vet staff. He's strong and active and has been given a chick for breakfast. They are going to keep an eye on him as he still has some wheeze/gurgling in his throat (he had evidence of some bleeding when he was picked up last night) but so far, so good.

I'm glad they are being extra careful before releasing Carson. Good news about Cade. Good luck, buddy!

From a Manitoba Falcon Cam Forum member :thumbegg:

Just talked to Des, who is with TPC on the top level of the parkade, watching Cade. She says he is just sort of walking around, doing his own thing. Seems fine, which is great news. He is high enough that he should be able to continue his flying/gliding lessons. Very happy news to end the day.

If she wasn't hanging onto the prey, she would probably take off!

Great picutres and video. :girlluv:
fingers crossed for CAde. I hope Beatrice waits another few days.

they waited over a week at Hamilton before releasing the female and she is doing well, so far. so I am glad they are monitoring Carson. he will just get stronger.

Update on Carson
Quote from TPC July 6 @ 1430h

Carson is eating and being stubborn about trying to fly (typical peregrine) but it appears he has not suffered any lasting injury so we are working on plans for his re-release in the next couple/few days. In the meantime, the rehab folks are keeping an eye on him for us.
