There are three chicks now? Great news!

The parents haven't been willing to allow a look at the chicks:

The babies were banded this morning. Here is the report, hope to find the location of the photos late to share.

"Hi All, Thanks for the comments. The option to place color bands on the falcons is not our decision. It requires a permit that the state does not currently hold. Formerly they have used bands of a collaborator with US Fish and Wildlife service. He has moved on and they did not have permission to color band the birds. Violating the permit is against the law. There is another concern that the color combination codes are limited. It does not relate to funding.

Yes, the egg was collected by the state.

We have a number of photos of the process that I hope to post in various places. Watching was not an option as the site is secure and the banding happens behind a closed door away from the adults to reduce stress and disturbance.

As you rightly point out, the camera was bumped and is now askew. Making another visit to adjust the camera is not possible and would be an unnecessary and added disturbance. We have planned maintenance for this system in the fall.

I hope this helps clarify some of your concerns. Things went very smoothly. Based on leg size it appears that we have a female and two males...notably one of the birds...deemed a male was intermediate in size.

Have a great day!
Patrick"

I watched him fall over during a feeding and took some photos too! But he managed to get himself back up so all is well again.

Those babies look just about ready for fledging.
