Tracy was on here way to get Carson at The Wildlife Haven when

Beatrix tried to land on the edge of a disused smokestack and fell in, well, fluttered down to the bottom. We retrieved her, had her checked out by the folks at Wildlife Haven and then she was returned to the nest box with her brother Carson.
So all three chicks were reunited today

Wow, I can't believe Beatrix didn't hurt herself falling down that huge smoke stack! Thank goodness workers just happened to be there and discovered her. We never would have known where she went!

I saw Rosser this morning and this afternoon. Rosser managed to get on the decorative black ledge that is on the front of the McKenzie building.

Brooklyn brings breakfast for Rosser this morning.

Sorry SGB, I missed your question. We really have no official fledge watch here. It would be me and my mother who is 77, that go and watch the birds. We do not see anyone or know of anyone else that go and watch, I check before and after work. The McKenzie building is one of the two tallest (13 stories) downtown, all the of the other buildings are less than five or four stories. The chicks have not far to go when they fledge, so it's a fairly safe place for fledging.

I saw Rain and Rosser on the ledge this morning. We had a thunderstorm this morning and it was fairly dark at 6:30am so I had to lighten the pic. This afternoon I only saw Hurricane hiding on a window sill between the two McKenzie buildings. It is really warm here, so I was not surprised that I didn't see the boys......probably napping in the shade somewhere on the roof.

Rosser maybe, sort of..........he flew to or dropped down to the decorative ledge which is over eight feet below the roof wall ledge. He was there most of yesterday and this morning he was back on the wall ledge with his brother. He had to have flown back up to the wall ledge. Would you call that a half fledge? LOL

Great pics and report, Carolyn...I think he should get credit for a 1/2 fledge/hop upward...pretty good if you ask me!!! :smile:
