An adult peregrine (blue gray above, white chest) is perched three ledges to the right (nw) of the nest box. Another peregrine is perched one story below on a window ledge a little to the right of the adult bird. This one looks browner and darker than the adult, but about the same size. I'm guessing CJ and one of the boys, although I thought that CJ was visibly larger than one of the boys earlier in the summer.

Mourning doves continue to lose feathers in the vicinity of the Brandywine Building.

I make a check of Harrisburg and Wilmington's web cams first thing every morning. Often find somebody at home in Harrisburg, but not so in Wilmington. Thanks for your report, Kim. I guess it may have been WB with CJ that Greg saw sitting on the building yesterday. He's hanging around a long time!

A new record late stay for a kid in Wilmington. I guess the economy is so bad he moved back home to stay with his parents.

Glad RG showed up too. As I recall, Caesar perched on the Brandywine Building in the off season more than CJ's mom did, although she was in the neighborhood all winter too. Haven't noticed a pattern with RG and CJ yet. Any pattern in other towns?

I'm not the expert here on Harrisburg, but NG and Lil Dad have a pretty good routine going. They have times together, all through the day! Late afternoon you can almost count on Lil Dad being on the stick or Scrape shield. Early evening as well. Without live Cam now it is hard to tell who moves around, but they do sit together everyday. LO is gone, I guess. Haven't seen Him in many weeks now.

Nice to see WB still there. This IS late!

Red Girl's beloved mom stayed in Harrisburg all year long. Lil Dad stayed last winter, but I think the winter before that he was out of town for a couple months. New Girl stayed in Harrisburg all of last winter, too.

Actually it's possible they've been around but since we didn't have the webcam we just missed seeing them?

Very well could be. Definitely fewer sightings on the camera or from the street as June changes to July, but (now we see) that doesn't mean that at least some don't come back for a visit.

Great pictures today, Kim! We should call you the "falcon whisperer" as the falcons always seem to make an appearance when you're around.

That wouldn't be unusual if RG was bowing to WB. We (people on this forum) learned when the sub-adult was still "living" at the nest with her parents in Montreal that they do indeed bow to each other--pretty much a greeting. What was interesting is that the parents didn't bow to low to Polly, because they considered her lower on the totem pole than themselves. Such a lot we're learning from observing these wonderful birds! :thumbup

It appears that Harrisburg's lone juvie came home to visit a couple of times after we believed he left the area. That might be the norm, because the cam was left on later this year so we could tell by listening to him that it was LO. Hard to tell how many prior year's juvies came back to visit after they left but we couldn't identify them...We have seen juvies come back to visit weeks after they left at other nests as well.

The falcon whisperer, huh? I like it. :)

I had to come to the office early this morning so I thought I'd check out the Brandywine Building really quick and I saw two birds. One was a kid because he flew and started screaming while I was there! What a great way to start the day! :)

Kim, such great pictures! Thanks! Also so nice to see the Juvy still here. Makes my day to read your report. Love to see the bowing. We humans should take "tips" from them. Such show of respect! Some cultures do!
