As Henry Ford said, "whether you believe you can or you believe you can't, you will be right." As long as you keep at it Cricket, you will get it. Can't wait to see your pictures when you're ready to post!

LUNCHTIME ACTION :-)

BOTH CAME INTO THE LEDGE AND MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE SCRAPE FOR SOME TIME AND WERE SO LOUD! WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED, OVER A DOZEN CHIMNEY SWIFTS WERE FLYING ABOVE THE LEDGE OVER THE BLDG. THEY DISPERSED, BUT CAME BACK THEN AND CONTINUED FLYING ABOVE THE LEDGE. LIL DAD WENT DOWN TO THE POINT, NG TO THE STICK. NOT LONG AFTER, NG RAN DOWN AND CHASED LIL DAD FROM THE POINT. HE FLEW OUT OVER 5TH ST GARAGE. SHE STAYED ON THE POINT AND THEN TOOK OFF OVER THE 5TH ST GARAGE, BUT CAME RIGHT BACK TO THE WINDOWSILL. LIL DAD THEN SHOWED UP AND TRIED TO LAND ON THE WINDOWSILL, BUT SHE SQUAWKED AT HIM AND HE LEFT. I THOUGHT HE BROUGHT HER FOOD, BUT HE DIDN'T. SHE STAYED ON THE WINDOWSILL AND I WENT UP AND WAS WATCHING HER. SHE WAS RIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WINDOW! SHE'S A BEAUTY. SHE STILL HAS THAT ROSEY COLORING TO HER, I'M NOT SURE THAT WILL EVER GO AWAY. I WOULD THINK IT WOULD BY NOW. THERE IS A FRESH BLUE JAY HEAD ON THE WINDOWSILL AND ALL THE FEATHERS ARE ON THE POINT. AS I WAS COMING IN THE BLDG, TWO BEAUTIFUL BLUE JAY FEATHERS FLOATED RIGHT DOWN IN FRONT OF ME :-)

OFF TOPIC, BUT THERE IS ALSO A MONARCH FLYING AROUND OUT FRONT OF OUR BLDG THE ENTIRE LUNCH PERIOD. IT WAS UP BY THE LEDGE AND EVEN ABOVE THE BLDG AND FLYING DOWN AS LOW AS WE WERE. HE MUST THINK THE ENVIRONMENTAL BLDG IS A SAFE PLACE, LOL! WONDERING IF IT'S ONE THAT I RELEASED :-)

What a nasty looking day with all the fog. No one there right now on the end view. Not looking good here either. Hope it clears off for flying later today!

Reenie, I like to think that was one of your birthday monarchs you saw yesterday!

I hope the fog does not put the couple off their hunting-on the other hand, I guess the prey has a harder time seeing the attack.

The ledge was empty when I checked a few minutes ago - guess NG and Lil Dad are flying above the mists.

I saw a Monarch here yesterday and immediately thought of Reenie. It's late in the Season to see them now, as they are normally migrating to Mexico by now for the Winter.

Thanks, George, for the update, at least we have one accounted for, if not two. I'm willing to guess that by now both are wet!

I've seen both views of the ledge in the past few minutes and no falcons in sight. All I see there is rain, all I see here is rain!
