I just started up my computer and thought I had missed all the fun. But when I viewed the web cams I was só relieved to see the monument still empty at the top . . . . . . . . . :biggrin:

Lady Victory's ascent to the top of the monument has been rescheduled for Monday morning beginning at 8 am.

Weather predictions are for calm, sunny skies.

And that is when they are going to begin. Logistically, they will have to hook her up to the crane and check and double check and triple check everything. I am going to be home that day and hopefully will be able to watch for the red crane to start moving.

I absolutely love the fact that the camera is situated so that we will actually see Lady Victory when she is back up top.

After 12 sec. you can see the statue moving up at the
left.
It then disappears and comes back in view at the top
of your screen.

That was great Arles! Thanks for capturing the whole thing! I was surprised to see cars travelling on the Circle. Would have thought they would have blocked it all off.

They showed it on the local news tonight from the ground perspective as it was raised. Interesting. Lots of people downtown watching. I heard the other day that there was a mere 4 inches (10 centimeters) of clearance on each of the 4 sides to lower her down into the scaffolding. :shock
