After looking at some juvie and adult videos today....... :redface

Ohmigosh, Ohmigosh, I did NOT mean that, I did NOT mean that, I do NOT watch adult videos

What I meant to say was that after viewing some films of both juvenile and mature peregrines, I am thinking that MAYBE it was Zoe ( aka Abigail ) who I saw this morning. Hard to tell, but she seemed to have some white on her chin area, but not the full white front that the grown-ups have. ( I saw mostly her back and side, so I won't confirm who it was.) Also, she was sitting in the spot on the corner of the County-City building that Zoe has favored in the past. She was there for a long time, I watched her from 5:55 a.m. to 7:30 when I had to leave. As the time went by, there was less preening and fluffing and more and more head turning to notice other birds. I wondered why she stayed for so long. Normally, she would have flown off by 6:15 as it is quite light by then. Maybe this was the falcon equivalent of sleeping in. :zzzzz :zzzzz
It was so beautiful to see her as the morning light changed the colors of her concrete building and her lovely feathers, charming to see her preening and her wing stretches. And whenever she sat still and the wind gently ruffed her feathers, tinted pink from the morning sun, I felt a beautiful peace in the world. :cloudnine:

I guess I forgot that she was just waiting to go out and kill things.

I agree!
:teehee: And in the springtime with all the canoodling, it can seem like adult movies!

 Another :sum10: SOUTH BEND SIGHTING !!! :sum10:

( I get excited cause I'm not usually early enough to see da falcons !! )

At 6 a.m. before it was very light, and before the pigeons were up, I was driving by the building and saw ...... A FALCON !! She was sitting on the County City building and then after a few minutes, Mom shows up too. So they are both still around ( at least sometimes). I haven't seen them together for a long time, probably I have not been able to watch at the right times. If I have time next week I will post more about this sighting.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled Forum programming, now featuring: The Adventures of Orion: The Fledging Chapter, a Watcher's Delight ! :dancinggirls:

I forgot to post yesterday! I did see both falcons in Osceola in the afternoon. I would have taken pictures, but I was in the pool (and my phone doesn't like the pool ;) We saw them three times, coming and going over a two hour period. The last time I saw them yesterday, we only saw one. My kids were excited, it was the first time they had seen them flying (my son actually spotted them first, he was excited when I told him those were the ones we watch on the computer)

I bet your son was thrilled to be the one spotting them. He must have eyes like a falcon!

Big appreciation and thanks to you marineof2, for your report ! It is great to know where my favorite falcons go during the day, since i can't just follow them in my car after they dash off in the mornings. :sprint
Maybe you could suggest some good falcon watching places in Osceola, in case I get a day off from work.

Two questions: where does one post falcon poetry?
And what do all you falconheads do in the off-season? Is that when you finally feed your cats?

Stay south of the tracks in Osceola and that's your best bet to spot them since there are more open areas. I got to see them both again flying today. I only saw them for a minute before they took off for elsewhere though!

Off-season ? ? ? What is that ? :teehee:
Australia is gearing up, already two eggs in the nest on the balcony of Robyn Hills' apartment (Emily&Frederick). Penguins have already showed up at the GARS O'Higgins base on the South pole, still some young Lesser spotted Eagles to watch in Estonia, keeping an eye on the falcon webcams that are live all year round, just to make sure all is well there . . . . .
As for my cats, they are doing well, not overweighted, that's for sure :laugh :laugh :laugh

I realy enjoy the contributions of both you and marineof2, love a good sense of humour
