I know they have to move on for survival sake but it must be hard to lose a long time mate like that...I expect after all those years they were so attuned to each other other. I hope her next mate will be good to her and take care of her.

My deepest condolences to all the Indy falconheads on the loss of Kinney. What a legendary tiercel he was! They broke the mold after he hatched. I haven't posted on this forum more than once or twice over the years, but I have followed the progress of their annual nestings; he was an amazing partner and I know how hard his loss will be felt. Although there can never be another Kinney, I wish Kathy Q every success in attracting a new male just as strong and devoted as he was.

It is a very bleak feeling to see Kinney's bands without this dynamic little tiercel wearing them. However, I am glad that Richard Kinnett will keep the bands.

I don't know what to say seeing the bands of Kinney. Every word that comes to my mind sounds too shallow. My heart goes sincerely out to all of you.

I hope KathyQ will be fine and that she will find a nice and caring mate again. She deserves no less that that.
