No gigi, I am not at all certain about who this bird is, it could very well be Guinevere. I just don't have enough watch experience under my belt to make that call. I hope it is G, I think most of us would like to see her keep her nest. :dancinggirls:

Whoever it is, I did see feather bits flying when (s)he was eating, (thanks to these fine binoculars. ) Guess it was a bird snack.

Now the hot dog vendor is RIGHT UNDER the County City Building. How convenient ! Do Pefas eat hot dog vendors? What if the vendor sold her a bad snack? Would that justify at least a swoop-down? :teehee:

LOL, sbwatcher. . my guess is that a pefa would eat a hot dog vender before eating a hot dog!!!

I wish the cam was still live. . then we could see if anybody visited the box!!!

Hmmm, SGB, I bet you are right ! Although given the way some hot dogs taste, that's not too surprising. I have not seen any birds near the nest box in a while, they are tending to hang out at the corners of the CC Building.

Maybe I will see if the hot dog vendor is still there tomorrow. :teehee:

How exciting, marineof2 !! Can anyone tell me if multiple falcons will hang out together if they are not a family group? I wonder if Zoe is out there and has made some new friends.

You know I wonder the same thing, then I feel so sad if I think they are by themselves so I choose to believe they have gone out and made friends to travel with (when they are young) I know better but I can dream :pumpkinlaugh:

And don't forget the nest in Rome where Aria and Vento's little helper, their chick from last year. stayed around and helped feed this year's chicks!!! That was so sweet.

I saw a falcon today! I was driving through Osceola and thought there was just a bird pecking at road kill on the side of the road in some taller grass...til it popped it's head up and I realized what it was! :) Unfortunately there was a vehicle behind us and I couldn't stop or turn around to snap a picture!

Kttenface, thanks so much for the nice invite, I have missed you guys too. Sorry I missed the Halloween and Thanksgiving smilies. I have been extra busy with a (boring but necessary) project, but am hoping to return to the board in a week or two ( or sooner if I see a FALCON ! )

* sbwatcher gets excited from typing a raptor word, runs around shouting FALCON ! FALCON ! FALCON ! WOO HOO ! :woohoo:

No falcon yet, but I was surprised to see a HAWK in my front yard when I arrived home ! The hawk flew into some low bushes right by my house, it was chasing a small bird just one foot off the ground. After its missed dinner, it flew into the neighbor's tall pine tree next door, then, gone. Nature's small gift to me.

sbwatcher, heading for bed and for one neglected kitty :offtobed:
