There's a Peregrine platform at Forsythe also. Box on the top of it. The last I checked, Forsythe had a lot of damage from Hurricane Sandy, and the wildlife drive was being repaired after having sustained LOTS of damage. In fact, our local Audubon is doing a fund raiser to help them with the cost of cleanup and repair.

Mike - I can't thank you enough for locating Little Red's band numbers in the peregrine banding report for 2012 (viewtopic.php?f=435&t=1281). And I can't thank kittenface enough for all the work she put in on creating the banding report.

It's so exciting to hear that one of Wilmington's girls from 2012, Little Red, was seen in New Jersey on a cam at an osprey nest. That made my day!

Am waiting for Kim's response to this happy news. Little Red might be Red Girl's and CJ's first offspring to be reported elsewhere. Can still remember seeing Little Red in person last June going from building to building in Wilmington.

That is fantastic news!!! Thanks Mike!!!

Helpful hint with FB links. If you will remove the "S" from the http, then non FB members can usually see the page (I took the "S" out of the link)...Sometimes that works...sometimes it doesn't..

Oh cool, thanks for that tip!!

Oh yea, that is an awesome resource and I echo the thanks to kittenface for that. As soon as I saw the red tape, I came back here to look that up. I couldn't remember band #'s off hand, but had a feeling the bird was going to be from either Harrisburg or Wilmington :hapdance:

The resident Peregrines have been spotted on camera sitting on that Osprey platform too. Those Osprey better hustle back and claim it before someone else takes a real liking to it!

This is SO darn cool!!!!! Just the news I needed to hear today! We fledge watchers did okay last year! :)

I just hope she doesn't get in a fight with the resident female! Actually the male at that site is just as feisty as the female so I hope she stays away from both of them!!!

She's been on her own for eight months. Maybe she already knows what she can get away with, and acts accordingly.

From what I read and from what her mother did, she probably won't want a family of her own until next year, so hopefully she won't pick any fights herself.

Recently I've been thinking that I don't know if I can take another year of chasing falcon kids all over Wilmington but after seeing this, I think I'll survive at least one more year.... :)

Ben, from Conserve Wildlife NJ, is going to send me more images of RG from yesterday which I will be sure to post later today! He said that they get peregrines on the Osprey nest 1-2 times a day, typically in the mornings between 7-8 AM so be sure to watch the cam! He said another juvie came in when RG was there yesterday and they ruffled feathers but he didn't see if the other bird was banded. Wouldn't that be cool if it was another one of our "girls" and they're still hanging out together?! Didn't she and WG hang out together? Faith, you probably remember.

Here's the link for the webcam:

I'm still so excited about this!!! :)

Are ya into werewolfs, Kim? I followed your link & got a video of werewolf sounds. :teehee:

Here is the link that Reenie posted, although its dark now & what is being shown is a daylight picture of the osprey nest, so I'm confused.

Haven't looked at the web cam yet as wanted to answer Kim. Yes, they did "Buddy Up" last year. I'll fall off my chair if we see White Girl! Kim, I know it is strenuous running around after them, but this kind of thing gives you the determination to do so!! LOL! We need you! You are " Mother Falcon Lady". See you in April or May!!!!
