Falcons eat only birds, which are caught in the air. It's raining pretty good here right now, and blowing some. Not hearing any thunder, though.

LOTS OF YELLOW SHAFTED FLICKER FEATHERS IN THE SCRAPE, WONDERING IF IT WAS THE SAME ONE FROM THIS MORNING.

I have been MIA today, trying to get housework done before the real excitement gets going. If I tune in here, I lose my energy and mindset to get the task done. These birds can take you away!!! LOL!! So glad to see Lil Dad with them when I logged on. He looks at them so sweetly. Proud Papa!

LIL DAD ALWAYS MAKES SURE THAT HIS KIDS GET FED BEFORE NIGHT FALL. NOW HE JUST GAVE IT TO NIECEY AND SHE LEFT THE SCRAPE WITH IT. IT HAD RED ON THE HEAD, WONDERING IF IT'S STILL THE FLICKER?

LIL DAD WAS SITTING WITH THE BABIES, NIECEY CAME IN AND CHASED HIM OUT. WONDER WHY SHE DIDN'T FEED THE KIDS AND TOOK THE FOOD AWAY? OR MAYBE THAT WAS FOR HER TO EAT :-)

Thought it was too small for a Flicker. Those Flicker feathers have been in the scrape for a while. Didn't know about the Peregrine that catches squirrels. I know that Red-tails do, though. I can remember seeing a juvie eating a grasshopper one year on fledge watch.

well, earlier this afternoon i saw niecey feeding with alot of black and yellow feathers flying in the scrape. while they didnt look like those of a flicker, i was wondering if it were some variety of oriole?

Don't know, George. I didn't see the feedings. Lil Dad's picture is on the forum somewhere today, and he most definitely had a Flicker. I think it may be just a tiny bit early for Orioles to be here.

OK, STILL DARK AND THIS NEW VIEW HAS ME CONFUSED AS TO WHO'S ON THE CHICKS RIGHT NOW. I GUESS IT'S STILL NIECEY. NOT SURE IF I MISSED A FEEDING ALREADY OR NOT, BUT LIL DAD IS ON THE STICK IF THIS IS NIECEY.

YES, IT'S NIECEY, JUST HOPE THERE'S BEEN A FEEDING THAT I MISSED ON MY WAY TO WORK :-)

Lil Dad just brought food & got everybody excited. One was so excited he did a little poop shot but of course I wasn't quick enough.

6:37 LIL DAD BROUGHT A DOVE TO THE POINT. NIECEY WENT DOWN TO GET IT. LIL DAD LEFT. SHE WAITED A MIN AND THEN TOOK IT UP TO THE CHICKS AND IS NOW GETTING READY TO FEED. LOOKED LIKE THE LIL CHICK IS STUCK UNDER THE OTHERS, HOPEFULLY WHEN SHE STARTS FEEDING IT WILL GET OUT, LOL! OH, SAW MY FIRST CHICK POOP SHOT TOO :-)

NIECEY SHOULD HAVE DEFEATHERED THE DOVE ON THE POINT! GEEZE.........

I think this is Little Bit & I did see him get a bite the first cam cycle.

Chicks are about buried in feathers. Oh well, guess they will help them keep warm!
