Approx 4:20pm - caught nest exchange. Believe VV was on eggs, she had her back to box opening. She started looking around, calling. She stood up turned around and had her head poking out of box, chupping. Pa arrives on deck. There was no prey exchange. Pa goes into box. I can see VV flying around in distance. Not sure if they use food cache when nest exchanges, or if she's responding to something else. She was very alert prior to getting off eggs.

Haven't seen any activity for a few minutes now, so maybe she's getting dinner and just stretching her wings.

4:27pm- just saw falcon at bottom of screen flying in distance. Cam just pulled back. Pa is in box, quietly looking out/sleeping. No vocalizations.

Still 3 eggs.

Pa came in for a turn on the eggs it looked like, but VV would not budge. He had been sitting outside on the platform for a while doing that low wail begging thing.

Vievie breeds so very much all the time!
2 days ago she stayed for 25,5 hours continuesly on the eggs.
On the other hand Pa wants to breed all the time, and when he manages to go on the eggs, he doesn't want to go off anymore of course (as we know him as such a good father).


This morning: Pa comes twice, he wants to breed, but doesn't have any food for Vievie. :sum8:
So... Vievie doesn't leave, she says: no food, no brood, Pa!

Just back home I found Rosta's video.... seems 2OR is here again..
I also don't understand why Pa is so calm sitting nearby her on the ledge before flying away. He should alert more! For sure, this really must be 2OR. Big white band on the left, flat head, drawing of the "whisker"... :teehee: how do you call these..?

If you click on the link it should take you to the De Mortel page. From there, you can click on the 5.2.13 video. I think they describe it as another male who lands on the grid while Pa is on the eggs.

Looked like there were no bands.
